Who are we?
The Alaska Family Child Care Association (AFCCA) is a 501 (c)(3) Corporation made up of an all volunteer board of family child care professionals and parents promoting and supporting professional quality home-based child care throughout the state of Alaska. AFCCA formerly started August 9, 1983. Our members are family child care providers, parents and staff at agencies who support quality early care and education of children in child care.
AFCCA promotes and supports quality child care by providing training, networking and support groups, and mentoring to child care providers and more. AFCCA has offer an annual statewide family child care training conference since 1990.
AFCCA has proudly sponsors the Alaska Family Child Care Food Program (AFCCFP) since January 1987. AFCCFP an USDA Child Care Food Program which plays a vital role in improving the quality of child care by ensuring nutritous meals and snacks are offered to children in care. AFCCFP offer nutritional training and support to family child care providers.

How can we support quality family child care?
Antiquities and the Alaska Family Child Care Association has teamed up to offer a 10x13 sepia portrait of your child or children (Up to age/size 16) for only $10.00.
There are two ways you can support AFCCA's mission.
1) Purchase your Portrait Certificate from an AFCCA representative. The entire $10.00 goes directly to AFCCA and you will receive a 10x13 portrait of your child/children. Limit one per family.

What will I receive?
You will receive a beautiful professionally photograhed 10x13 sepia-tone studio portrait of your child/children to treasure for years to come. There will be no additional sitting fees. Antiquities provides props and clothing which will vary from photographer to photographer.
During your photo session in September, you may request a $10.00 tax deductible receipt for your purchase of the portrait certificate from AFCCA.
What to wear to the photo session?
The photos is sepia tone children's portrait that will include vintage attire and props. Antiquities style dress consists of bare feet, overalls, blue jeans, lace dresses, etc. Your child should be encouraged to wear clothing that can be changed easily (i.e. bare feet, blue jeans, overalls, oversized white shirts, etc.).
Frequently Asked Questions
May someone purchase more than one coupon?
No. This offer is limited to one coupon per family. However, individual poses will be take of each child in the family.
Is this 10x13 portrait offer a children's promotion?
Yes. Up to the age/size 16 only. However, if a parent, grandparent, friend or relative wishes to be included in extra poses for the package, Antiquities will be happy to do so upon request. No 10x13 portrait coupon may be sold for these extra poses.
May a portrait coupon be purchased for a group of grandchildren?
Only if the children have not appeared in any other 10x13 portrait specail. However, this group may be added to any package.
Will extra portraits be available?
Yes. Every sitting will have a variety of poses to choose from and take home on the day the photographer returns.
Can children be photographed without a parent being present?
No. Photography of a minor requires the parent to be present during the photo session. The parent must also return for the viewing appointment.
Do I have to purchase a package to recieve the 10x13 photo?
No. You have already paid for the 10x13 photo and setting fee when you purchased the $10.00 Portrait Certificate from AFCCA. However, you do have to return to the viewing appointment set up by the photographer to receive the 10x 13 portrait.
When is the photo session?
Photo sessions will be available in both Anchorage and Wasilla. A representative from AFCCA will call to set up your photo session time to be taken in September. It is very important for you to be on time for the sessions.
