Child and Adult Care Program

The Child and Adult Care Program is open to serve the public at no cost from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 825 L Street, 3rd floor, Anchorage, AK 99519-6650. The public is welcome to review adult facility and child care center information, such as inspection reports, complaint summaries, parent policies, and staff qualifications. MOA Child Care Licensing Orientations
An Overview of the Family Child Care Licensing Process

The Municipality of Anchorage offers a licensing orientation to prepare participants to become a licensed family child care provider within the Municiaplity of Anchorage. 

There are three mandatory sessions, participates must complete all sessions.   Each session has been developed to aid and assist protential licensed family chid care providers in understanding all the factors involved in running a child care program in their home.  The current state regulations and statues and municipal ordinances will be reveiwed, as well as the importance of providing quality child care for children and being a professional in your home business.

Pre-Site Visit

If you have concerns hat your home may not meet the fire and safety requirements or some other concerns which cannot be answered by a telphone call, you may requiest a pre-site visit.  As schedules permit, a specialist will contact you to set a time for this visit.
