Board seats are held from June 1st to May 31st.

If you are interested in a board position, please notify AFCCA to be placed on the next ballot.  Please send a letter of interest, position desired, a brief bio for ballots as well as any comments you wish to make about how you can help in the mission of AFCCA.  All ballots will be mailed out to members and available at conference.  Ballots must be received by May 15th to be counted in the election results.  Results will be published and canidates notified of thier duties starting June 1st.  

AFCCA Board will not have a monthly board meeting in June or December.  All board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the offices of AFCCA/AFCCFP located at 2207 E Tudor Road, Suite 34, in Anchorage.  All board meetings are open to the public.  If you would like to be placed on the agenda please contact AFCCA no later than the Friday prior to the meeting date.

It is our goal to help reach more areas of the state with training opportunities, networking and support and resources to family child care professional across the state of Alaska.  If you have a group of family child care providers interested in helping each other and to provide more resources to your area, please contact AFCCA about how we can start chapters in your areas.

We are looking for a contact person for each area around the state to tell us what family child care professsional need in those areas.  If you are interested in becoming a community representative for family child care professionals please contact AFCCA
