Child Care Conference

April 30 and May 1, 2010

The Alaska Family Child Care Association would like to invite you to submit a proposal to present a workshop at the 21st Annual “For the Love of Kids” Child Care Conference to be held April 30 and May 1, 2010, at the Millennium Alaskan Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska.  The theme for year is, “Leaving Handprints On The World”.   

AFCCA is encouraging presenters to conduct a wide range of workshops designed to inform and educate early childhood professionals.  It is our goal to present workshops for family child care providers, those working with all ages, those working with children with special needs, and facility administrators and   center staff.  Training opportunities such as these help in AFCCA’s mission to promote and develop quality, professional child care for all children across the state of Alaska.   

AFCCA will waive conference fees for presenters of a workshop on the day of their presentation.  This entitles you to participate in the keynote address, guest speakers, and all the other workshops being presented and a buffet lunch on the day you present your workshop only.  Additional lunches will be available for purchase at the registration desk.  This is our way of saying thank you and for volunteering your time and expertise.   

Please note that equipment and hand outs
are the responsibility of the presenter.

Proposal Directions:

• Submit your application to AFCCA No Later Than March 15, 2010
• Develop a title and a short descriptive paragraph of the training to be published in the conference book
• Fill out this form to help us in scheduling preferences
• Submit a short bio to be published in the conference book

The AFCCA Board of Directors will make the final decisions of your proposed training based on the information provided.  AFCCA will contact each presenter with the conference workshop confirmations as well as more detailed information such as date, time and location of the workshop to be held.
