AFCCA has Scholarship Opportunities Available

AFCCA Scholarship #1: AFCCFP
As sponsors of the Alaska Family Child Care Food Program will be sponsoring a participate from that program to attend conference for free.

Rule 1: Submit CACFP Program paperwork on the first of the month.
Rule 2: All paperwork must be complete with NO errors.
Rule 3: Paperwork must be date stamped as being relieved on the received on the first of March and April.
Rule 4: Paperwork turned in the program mailbox outside the office will be accepted as being received on the first as long as it is found in the office drop box when the doors open for business.
Rule 5: Only AFCCFP program participates may participate in this scholarship selection.
Rule 6: Winner must be a current member of AFCCA to win! Or willing to pay for membership to accept the scholarship as a member. AFCCFP Program participants will have two opportunities to put their name in this raffle for a greater chance of winning. Names will be placed in the raffle bucket and winner drawn at the conference committee meeting on Tuesday, April 3. Winner will be notified on April 4th by phone between the hours of 1 to 3 pm (nap time) by Donna Kirby, AFCCA President.

Scholarship #2: ESSAY
AFCCA's Mission is to promote and develop quality professional child care. We are interested in your child care philosophy and how you have developed and promote quality child care in your facility.

Rule 1: Written in an essay format of no longer than one page in length. Type written is preferred but neatly written script in black ink will be acceptable.
Rule 2: Email, Mail or drop off in the office drop box no later than Tuesday, April 3, 5:00 pm. 
Rule 3: Essays submitted will be published on the AFCCA Website and in the April edition of the "For the Love of Kids" Newsletter.
Rule 4: Winner must be a current member of AFCCA to win! Or willing to pay for membership to accept the scholarship as a member. All entries will be reviewed and selected by the conference committee meeting on Tuesday, April 3. Winner will be notified on April 4th by phone between the hours of 1 to 3 pm (nap time) by Donna Kirby, AFCCA President.

Scholarship #3: T-SHIRT
We are looking for a fun new design for our 18th Annual "For the Love of Kids" Child Care Conference in our T-Shirt Contest.

Rule 1: Use the conference theme "Come Play with ME!" is a must and 18th Annual "For the Love of Kids" Child Care Conference.
Rule 2: All artwork must be your own. No clip art or copyright material accepted. All work must be free from copyright liability and released to AFCCA for use to promote AFCCA.
Rule 3: If photos involving children, a release must be signed by the child's parents allowing AFCCA to use the photo for publicity purposes must accompany the submission.
Rule 4: Deadline for submission is Tuesday, April 3, 5:00 pm.
Rule 5: Winner must be a current member of AFCCA to win! Or willing to pay for membership to accept the scholarship as a member. All entries will be reviewed and selected by the conference committee meeting on Tuesday, April 3. Winner will be notified on April 4th by phone between the hours of 1 to 3 pm (nap time) by Donna Kirby, AFCCA President. Winner also receives ONE FREE T-Shirt with their design!!
